Ace indie label makes its debut appearance in Scotland this weekend

The excellent Independent Label Market, bringing together indie bosses to come and flog their wares directly to you punters, will be making its first appearance in Glasgow on Saturday, October 12, from 11am - 6pm.

Setting up stalls at Barras Art & Design Centre will be some of Scotland's finest imprints, including AED, Rock Action Records, Chemikal Underground, Because, Phantasy, Numbers, Optimo Music, Lucky Me, Soma Records, Creeping Bent, Love Music and Rubadub.

As usual, there'll be some excellent one-off exclusives for the market, with the signed vinyl copies of Mogwai's Les Revenants, an AED raffle, drawn by label boss Edwyn Collins himself, and Number4Door's baked fudge puddles particularly catching our eye.

Not only that, but there'll be DJ sets from Collins, Belle & Sebastian, JD Twitch, Numbers and Rubadub, as well as some ace food from local outlets Smoak and Fire In Babylon.

Head to the event's Facebook page for full details, and in the meantime, get primed with this playlist, put together by ILM and fellow hosts The Vinyl Factory, taking in artists on labels appearing at the market - listen here.
