First look at the video for the title track of their forthcoming American Twilight album

Take a look at our premiere of the video for the title track of American Twilight, the new album from Crime & The City Solution, out on March 25 via Mute.

Their first new material after a 21-year hiatus, following last year's reunion, it's a formidable presage for the album, which we can vouch is an impressive return to form: Simon Bonney's seemingly channelling the spirit of Jon Spencer over a hot-blooded, coursing Bad Seeds-esque arrangement, with a band including Berlin-era members Bronwyn Adams and Alexander Hacke.

Keep an eye on the band's website for further updates, and watch out for them at Primavera Sound in Barcelona on May 25.

More Like the Spirt of Simon Bonney over a Hot-blooded Crime & The City Solution arrangement, to be honest.

I don't think I want Bonney channeling the spirit of Jon Spencer, quite frankly.

Crime & The City Solution were the first band I ever promoted, many moons ago at the mean fiddler in Harlesden NW10, they blew my tiny mind back then and they blew whats left of it at the recent Q.E.H. gig. Having them as well as SWANS back and sounding this good feels like a blessing from above...
