As anyone who reads the Quietus regularly knows, we're massive fans of Gary Numan, both for his decades of excellent music making and the fact that he's one of the nicest interviewees you're ever likely to encounter. We were heartened, then, by this story that emerged over the weekend via Gary's Twitter:

First, like many of us, the Nume was upset that the potentially amazing Bloc festival was cancelled:

Then, he managed to lose his wedding ring while doing some sheep farming. Now, as we know, Gary Numan used to be a stunt pilot... but we never knew he counted sheep husbandry among his interests:

But then! Gary got hold of a metal detector, and the ring was recovered. Nice one.

And now, there's only one thing to celebrate!
