Tragically, the body of 22-year old Christopher Brahney, who went missing after the Stone Roses’ concert at Manchester’s Heaton Park on 29th June, has been found. Brahney went missing shortly after 11.30pm that night, when he left his friends to try and find his phone.
His friends and family have since launched a high profile campaign to try and find him, which garnered support from the band and many media outlets. Brahney’s body was found early this morning by a member of the public in the Manchester Ship Canal at Salford Quays. A postmortem examination to discover the cause of death will be conducted on Tuesday.
