UFOmammut Announce New Album

Italian Space Rockers return with the second part of the ORO series
Quietus favourites UFOmammut have announced Opus Alter, the second in the two-part ORO series. The first part, Opus Primum, was released in April and ranked highly in our albums of the year so far list (which you can find here).
The press release for the album states that, “although ORO's two chapters will be released months apart from each other, they must be considered as a single track in which the musical themes and the sounds appear and reappear, mutate and evolve, progressively culminating in the crushing final movement.” Taken as a whole, the ORO series is typically high-concept, aiming to explore "the concept of knowledge and its power; the magical stream controlled by the human mind to gain control of every single particle of the world surrounding us.”
The band will be touring Europe in support of the album for the next few months, culminating in an appearance at the righteous Supersonic festival on 21st October. In the meantime, they’ll be releasing a series of teaser videos for the release via YouTube, the first of which you can watch below.
