Quietus Mix 52: Gary Numan & Ade Fenton Are Friends Electric

A mix from the Nume, you say? OH HAPPY DAY

As any regular reader of The Quietus will know, we are enormous fans of Gary Numan. 'My Machine', his collaboration with Battles, was one of the highlights of their most recent album, while current gigs see Numan delivering much-anticipated, ferocious new material as well as taking his hits of yore into a dark, abrasive place miles from any risk of the dubious 80s nostalgia tour. Recent rework album Dead Son Rising is also one of our favourite non-studio LPs of 2011. We're therefore incredibly chuffed that Gary Numan and his right-hand-man Ade Fenton have done us a mix that veers from techno to electronic pop and scabrous dubstep. You can catch Gary Numan on tour in December, for dates visit his website.

Numan has proven himself the genius title he has earned over the years.
He is becoming like a vintage wine, just getting better with age.
Excellent mix.

@Museumhead"He is becoming like a vintage wine, just getting better with age."
er. don't forget that wine becomes undrinkable after a while.
I still think that he is going down the NIN route and copying Trent far to much,I dont see or hear anything new here from Numan, this could have been produced in the late 80,s or 90,s so nothing new here from this depressive artist.
