The Quietus , April 28th, 2009 11:03

Mark Stewart of the Pop Group to appear with The Bug tonight at Rhythm Factory as part of East End Film Festival.

Following tonight's world premiere screening of Toni Schifer’s documentary On/ Off - Mark Stewart from the Pop Group to the Maffia at the East End Film Festival, Stewart himself will be appearing with The Bug (proud recipient of The Quietus' album of the year 2008) at Rhythm Factory along with DJ Adrian Sherwood and Russell Haswell.

Stewart was a founding member of politically charged post-punk-funk agitators The Pop Group and went on to pioneer new dub, funk, industrial, and hip-hop hybrids as Mark Stewart and the Maffia.

The East End Film Festilval runs from 23-30 April. Check out their programme of events here.
