Deal signed with independent distributor

Spotify have announced more good news with the signing of a deal with independent digital distributor CD Baby that will see a million new tracks added to their fast growing archive.

Around a quarter of a million artists are registered with CD Baby, including Regina Spektor, Merzbow, and Gary Jules. Now there's a collaboration you're unlikely to ever see.

Spotify founder Daniel Ek said of the dealm, "From day one we wanted to create a catalogue with the widest possible choice for our users.

"CD Baby gives us access to the world’s most immersive independent music catalogue and brings us even closer to our dream of gathering all the world’s music in one place. Welcome on board!"

Thanks to the work of Mr Ek and his colleagues, The Quietus is currently enjoying Einsturzende Neubauten's Tabula Rasa on Spotify.
