Le Guess Who? has confirmed the first wave of acts playing its 2023 event this November.

Returning for its 16th edition, the Utrecht festival will welcome Heba Kadry, Nala Sinephro, Slauson Malone 1 and Stereolab as guest curators. Kadry's curation will take in sets from Deena Abdelwahed, Alessandro Cortini and Vessel, among others, while Sinephro will welcome Nok Cultural Ensemble, aya and Nyokabi Kariũki to the festival.

Slauson Malone 1 has invited Richard Dawson, Mark Leckey, O Ghettão (the supergroup of Príncipe's DJ N*a Fox, DJ Danifox and DJ Firmeza) and black midi to play at the event, with the latter set to present a one-time-only performance of The Beatles covers. Finally, Stereolab's curation will feature James Holden, Irreversible Entanglements and a performance of Kali Malone, Stephen O'Malley and Lucy Railton's recent record Does Spring Hide Its Joy.

Elsewhere on the wider festival programme, this year's Le Guess Who? will take in sets from Nihiloxica, African Head Charge, Bill Orcutt, Backxwash, MC Yallah, Colleen, Holy Tongue, Wolf Eyes and Dudu Tassa & Jonny Greenwood, among others. More acts will be added to the bill in the coming months.
