Husker Dü are releasing a live album, Tonite Longhorn.

It's comprised of previously unreleased live recordings which were captured across four performances by the trio at the Longhorn in Minneapolis, Minnesota, between 1979 and 1980. The album will first be released as a 2xLP vinyl set on Record Store Day (April 22) featuring liner notes written by Thurston Moore, before a full digital release follows on August 25. In a statement about the live record, Husker Dü's Bob Mould said: "Most artists begin their careers by looking to their heroes for inspiration. Tonite Longhorn is a comprehensive overview of three teenagers paying homage, experimenting with different genres, and – most importantly — building a foundation for things to come. We knew what we had: good chemistry, great melodies and harmonies, and an overabundance of young (and sometimes dumb) enthusiasm. We knew we were different, and we knew we were on to something different."

Reflex Records will release Tonite Longhorn on April 22, 2023.
