Ryuichi Sakamoto's music is set to be the focus of a new album of reworks, to be released by Sakamoto's label home of Milan Records.

Due out in December, the 13-track A Tribute To Ryuichi Sakamoto – To The Moon And Back features remixes of tracks from across the Japanese artist's discography. Thundercat, Devonté Hynes, Fennesz, Hildur Guðnadóttir and Sakamoto collaborators Alva Noto and David Sylvian are among the artists who've contributed to the record. A Tribute To Ryuichi Sakamoto – To The Moon And Back's release will follow on from Sakamoto's work on the soundtrack for new Netflix anime show Exception, as well as a recent series of reissues of his collaborative albums with Alva Noto, including Vrioon, Insen, Revep and Utp.
