The band's complete discography across the four-year period is being collected on 7xLP and 8xCD formats

Hamburg label Bureau B is releasing a compilation collecting Faust's full studio works from 1971 to 1974.

Faust 1971-1974: 50 Years Of Faust, Ltd. will be released in the form of 7xLP and 8xCD box sets. The vinyl version is limited to 2,000 copies, and the CD edition to 1,000 copies. The release is described by Bureau B as the first virtually complete collection of the German act's official studio releases from the four-year period.

In addition to the band's self-titled debut album, the release includes 1972's So Far, and 1973's The Faust Tapes and Faust IV. Punkt, which was dubbed "the Munich album" and was recorded at Giorgio Moroder's Musicland Studios in 1974 also features.

The box set also includes bonus albums Momentaufnahme I and Momentaufnahme II, which are comprised of unreleased studio material, and two 7" singles.

The first of the singles, Lieber Herr Deutschland, is the demo recording the band sent to Polydor in 1971, which led to a contract offer from the label. The B-side of the vinyl single, 'Baby', is a song the label rejected to release after signing the band. The second of the two singles is a re-release of So Far, the only official single the band released on Polydor, from 1972.

Bureau B will release Faust 1971-1974: 50 Years Of Faust, Ltd. on October 8, 2021.
