It was first trialled in September with the help of Matmos, Sarah Davachi and Mary Lattimore

Bandcamp has revealed full plans for a new live streaming feature, Bandcamp Live, which will allow artists to set up ticketed live stream performances.

Artists will be able to sell tickets for shows within the merchandise section of their pages, while Bandcamp will also integrate a virtual merch table feature into the shows, alongside real-time chat rooms.

Artists who have been lined up for early Bandcamp Live shows include Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Cloud Nothings, Liv.e, Madison McFerrin and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.

As is standard with Bandcamp's merchandise sales policy, 90% of ticket sales will go directly to the artist with the company taking the rest of the share. Bandcamp has however announced that it will waive its fees on all tickets until March 31, 2021, so 100% of ticket sales will go to artists until that date.

The launch of Bandcamp Live follows on from an early trial of the service in September, when Matmos, Sarah Davachi and Mary Lattimore each live streamed paid shows via Bandcamp.
