Berlin Atonal Brings Back Label With Two New Releases

The Berlin festival's label arm will release a compilation as well as a live recording of the late Mika Vainio's 2016 appearance at the event

Berlin Atonal is bringing back its eponymous label.

The Berlin festival has revealed two new releases on the label, including a 19-track compilation called MORE LIGHT, which takes in new tracks from the likes of Nkisi, Alessandro Adriani, Vladislav Delay, Peder Mannerfelt, Shackleton's Tunes Of Negation, Laurel Halo, dBridge, Caterina Barbieri, Lee Gamble and Lafawndah. The tracks on the compilation will be split across five 12" records, which will be made available in January. The digital release is out now and can be listened to just below.

The second of the two releases is 25082016235210179M, a live recording of a performance by the late Mika Vainio at the 2016 edition of Berlin Atonal. All profits from the release, which is also available now, will go to the Alpha Boys School in Kingston, Jamaica. A vinyl pressing will follow in January.
