A GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign has been launched to support 76-year-old songwriter and composer Beverly Glenn-Copeland and his wife Elizabeth Glenn-Copeland, who are said to be "essentially homeless" and "in need of financial support to get them through this next year."

The campaign has been set up by the pair's daughter Faith and her partner Quinn. "Like many artists, my parents have been hit especially hard by the COVID-19 crisis," she says. "On behalf of my parents, and out of respect for all they have given over the years to the communities in which they have lived and worked, we are asking our collective network of friends, family, and supporters to step in and help alleviate some of the financial stress."

Beverly Glenn-Copeland is a transgender artist whose 1986 album Keyboard Fantasies was reissued by Canadian label Séance Centre in 2017. The reissue saw the album find a whole new audience having faded into obscurity in the decades after its release.

The success of the reissue led to Glenn-Copeland's first-ever US live show last year, as well as an appearance at the 2018 edition of Utrecht's Le Guess Who? festival. He was planning to tour throughout this year and record and release a new album, but the COVID-19 pandemic has put a halt to those plans.
