Björk has made an AI-assisted music piece to be played in the lobby of New York City hotel Sister City.

The piece, titled Kórsafan, uses Microsoft AI to pull together sounds cut from 17 years worth of choral recordings made by Björk. It follows on from a similar installation at the hotel by Julianna Barwick last year. You can watch a video about Björk's piece above.

"An architectural structure in downtown Manhattan offered me the hand in an AI tango, and I accepted the call," the Icelandic artist said. "I am alert with curiosity waiting the results. I offered them my choir archives, written over 17 years, that will float through the pinball of artificial intelligence by the grid of bird migrations, clouds, aeroplanes and that voluptuous thing called barometer!"
