Midori Takada - Through the Looking Glass

This record has enjoyed an interesting renaissance in recent years because many people have been discovering it thanks to YouTube’s suggested video algorithms.

That’s exactly how I discovered it. I remember that my husband and I made dinner for a friend, and we put some music on through YouTube - I can’t remember exactly what that was now. This was the next thing that came on, and we were all like ‘what is this?’ I like this album as a whole experience, and actually that’s something that’s been a more recent intention of mine - that when I discover a new album, I take time to understand them as a whole thing. It’s a totally different story when I want to dance though.
