The Who - ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’

Now while Pete Townshend is a well known cynic he managed to sum it all up when comparatively young in 'Won't Get Fooled Again' with its devastating punch line - "meet the new boss, same as the old boss". How would you know you were living in a fascist state anyway? You'd notice the propaganda and lies concocted to cajole a peace loving people to support aggressive wars surely? And increasing surveillance apparatus and spying would be obvious too. And then alarm bells would be positively blaring if however you voted there was never any change in government policy. It couldn't happen here of course…
