Fat White Family have announced he launch of their own record label, Without Consent, named after a deranged track from last year's album Champagne Holocaust.

Without Consent will be a subsidiary of the [PIAS] Cooperative, a group that works with small independent labels in distribution and publicity around the world. Their other partners include labels such as DFA, Heavenly Recordings and Bella Union, whilst artists like Beach House and The Knife have been among their affiliated artists.

[PIAS] will do distribution and marketing for the label throughout the whole world, excluding North America. Craig Caukill, head of label management for [PIAS] said of the deal: "Fat White Family are a hugely exciting proposition, the band have amazing potential and a clear artistic vision for the label – we're delighted to be working with them."

The Fat Whites, whose unhinged debut went out on Trashmouth Records, will use the new label to release their own music, including a new single and upcoming LP, which is slated to come out next year. The label will also release music by new artists the band are into, as well as unconfirmed reissues of old blues tracks.

Their manager, Stuart Green, was elated about the deal: "It means the band retain their independence and are in control of their own destiny. This is something I have always sought for every artist I have worked with and consider this to be the most exciting deal I have ever been involved in."

The band will be playing Field Day this Saturday, June 7. Watch the video for their most recent single, 'Touch The Leather', below:
