Previously unheard recording of 'Belsen Was A Gas' released in "limited edition super deluxe box set" reissue of the Sex Pistols' debut

The Sex Pistols' seminal debut Never Mind The Bollock's, Here's The Sex Pistols is getting a mammoth six-disc "super deluxe" reissue to mark its 35th anniversary. The box set, which gets a release on September 24 via Universal Music UK, will include a recording of 'Belsen Was A Gas', an original 1977 song, previously thought to be lost.

Chris Thomas, the original producer, has overlooked the remastering of the original tapes, which were uncovered in January when they were moved from Virgin Records to Universal. As well as the album itself, the box set includes original demos and outtakes from the album's recording sessions, including tracks with Sid Vicious on bass, six demos from the Spunk bootleg album, a 1977 live CD and DVD, a hardback diary, a replica of the original 'God Save The Queen' A&M 7", a poster, stickers and a lyric sheet. Phew.
