Comanechi are set to play a London gig at The Lexington tomorrow (Thursday 19th July) in support of their latest single, ‘Major Move’ which came out on Fast Weapons this month. The track is the first to be taken from the band’s new album, due to be released this autumn. You can watch the video for it above.

Tomorrow the band bring their deafeningly loud sound back to London, their city of origin. After releasing debut album Crime Of Love in December 2009, Comanechi embarked on a world tour, taking in support slots for acts including Dum Dum Girls and Gossip as well as playing their own shows. Comanechi’s live line-up has been given a little shake-up since then, with the addition of a live drummer, allowing Akiko, formerly in charge of sticks and vocals, to move away from the drums and focus on singing (or screaming) and guitar.

‘Major Move’ is available as a 7” featuring a vinyl silk screen printed cover as well as a download. The B-side features a cover of The Crystals ‘He Hit Me (And It Felt Like A Kiss)', which was recorded in one take.
