2011 has been an excellent year for The Horrors, with third album Skying garnering rave reviews, and their live show going from strength-to-strength. At the Roundhouse a few months back, it was clear that the band have achieved something of a crossover: the old engine shed was not full of pouting post-teens with their top buttons done up, but a mixed crowd of all ages going hoopla off their rockers on a school night. We're chuffed that to finish the year The Horrors' bassist and technician Tom Furse has put together a mix for us to end the year with. As ever, it's a perhaps unexpected journey that takes you from Madlib to Marvin Gaye, Eno to J Dilla, Pulp and Blanck Mass. The Horrors play the Fred Perry Subsonic Live at the Garage tonight, with Quietus-curated Haxan Cloak and Perc upstairs.
