Quietus Mix 001: Liars' Angus Andrew
Luke Turner , November 3rd, 2010 07:56

We've got a new mix series starting on the Quietus, and first up we have... Liars' Angus Andrew! Pic Johnny Wright

Anyone who's been paying attention to the Quietus throughout 2010 will know that high on our list of obsessions are nomadic, currently LA-based trio Liars. Their LP Sisterworld was riding out at the top of our albums of the year, their set at the Standon Calling Festival was one of the best we've seen all summer, and now we're very much looking forward to their final UK dates of 2010 before they go and do... well, who knows? We're going to be running a new series of mixes on the Quietus where we get artists we love to do us a selection of tracks of their own, rejigs by others, their rejigs of others, and just the shit that floats their boat. With a umpteen collaborations under their belt, plus the brilliant second mixes and treatments disc of Sisterworld, we thought Liars would be as good a place to start as any. Here's what the 12 foot lunatic who is Liars frontman Angus Andrew came up with. Tour dates after the jump:

November 11th – London, Heaven
November 12th – Brighton, Concorde
November 13th – Liverpool, Static Gallery
November 14th – Leeds, Constellations Festival
