Bassist "surprised" by Courtney Love's decision

Former Hole bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur has claimed she is "disappointed" and "surprised" that Courtney Love had made the decision to tour under the band's moniker without her.

Der Maur told Spinner: "I want to make it clear that I have nothing to do with this series of concerts.

"Honestly, I'm a little surprised by this turn of events. I am disappointed that they are going to jeopardise a real Hole reunion, which I think would be great for fans and fun for us, the band."

Der Maur, who played with Hole from 1994 to 1999, added: "[Courtney is] really is jeopardising the Hole reunion, which is not impossible, but it will be if this continues."
