The Quietus & Domino Hook Up For Halloween

A week of fiction and unearthly song

In case you haven't noticed from all the crone masks on the shelves at Tesco and invitations to fancy dress parties, it's Halloween this weekend.

To coincide with the night when ghosts pop out of their musty coffins to stretch their dry and rattlin' bones, The Quietus is teaming up with Domino Records for a week of strange and dark stories and songs, tugged like pure souls from heaven out of the minds of their recording artistes.

We'll be kicking off in an hour or so with a tale from Wild Beasts, with the stories by The Kills, King Creosote, Joker's Daughter, Eugene McGuinness, Lightspeed Champion, James Yorkston and (we hope) more to follow over the next few days. Alongside the daily dose of mordant fiction, The Quietus will be running a competition where one lucky winner can get their hands on the original written pieces in a hand-made book, along with a bumper pack of the band's recent back catalogue by all the contributors. You'll be able to read all the stories, and enter the competition, here.

And to kick things off we've a special Halloween song from Eugene McGuinness, which you can download by entering your email address in the box below. This will give you the track, and sign you up for all sorts of goodness from Domino and your friends at the Quietus.

And to be in with a chance of winning all the original, hand-written stories from this week, and to get a load of free mp3s from Domino, just enter your email address into the box below.
