The following 15 tracks are from A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble Exploding In Your Mind Vol 2 – Pagan Love Vibrations, which isn't easy to do — let alone say — when you've been smoking weed through a bong cobbled together out of a DM boot, some hose pipe and half a pint of anal relaxant, as we have.

The album comes out on Monday via Porcupine/Platipus Records and is a fitting sequel to the soundtrack to many confusing evenings over the last 12 months (including one night at ATP which is still not mentioned out loud) with mint inclusions from Can, Miles, Donovan, Mahivishnu and Emperor Machine.

Punkadelic be-robed warrior hippies from the planet . . . uh . . . what were you saying again?

4 Electroid 2000 'Moogsters Revenge'
8-Bit acid freaks who remix old computer game themes and bust machines apart to find new sounds.

5 Dzyan 'Naga Raga'
If you find Frumpy, Der Moderne Man and Eloi too mainstream and well known for your tastes, it's time to try on Dzyan for size with their blend freak rock, free-improv, electronics and Asian psych.

6 US69 '2069 A Spaced Oddity'
From a little known but often sampled gem of an album called Yesterdays Folks that mashed up jazz, psych, folk and funk to heady effect.

7 Jean Claude Vannier 'Les Gardes Volent Au Secours Du Roi'
You gotta dig JCV, the muscles from . . . Courbevoie, France. Dude arranged the strings on Serge Gainsbourg's finest moment Histoire De Melody Nelson. Check out the Finders Keepers reissue of his concept album about child fly killers, L'Enfant Assassin Des Mouches (Insolitudes). Sacre bleu!

8 Brightblack Morning Light 'Another Reclaimation'
Loosely associated with the freak folk scene that gave us Joanna Newsom and Devendra Banhardt and patronized by Will Oldham, these backwoods boys like to keep it rural.

9 Ananda Shankar 'Exploration'
The nephew of master sitar player Ravi and tQ favourite, Ananda added a heady dose of dancefloor friendly, MOOG laden psych dance vibes to the use of this Indian instrument.

10 Rocking Horse People 'Lost In The Haze'
Los Angelinos baked by the sun make hazy daisy aged music for those who are simply baked.

11 Shogun Kunitoki 'Mulberg'
A band from Helsinki whose aim is to help electronic music regress back to a more human state; that of the tube organ, the ring modulator, the spring reverb and the test oscillator.

12 Jazz Q/Martin Kratochvil 'Toledo'
Czech the record, Czech the record, Czech the guy's track record. Kratochvil was one of Prague's premier jazzists before and after communism.

13 Ultimate Spinach '(Ballad Of) The Hip Death Goddess'
Part of the Bostonian Bosstown Sound bands of the late 60s along with the sensibly monikered Peanut Butter Conspiracy. One gets the sinking feeling that drugs may have been involved.

14 Pearls Before Swine 'Oh Dear (Miss Morse)'
Another acid folk find, this time from Pearls Before Swine, the vision of Tom Rapp a 60s folker who beat a young Bob Dylan at a talent show when they were both still in short trousers.

15 Amorphous Androgynous 'The Onion'/'High Tide On The Sea Of Flesh'
And a couple of exclusive new tracks from the lightspeed troubadours themselves.
