Quietus & White Heat Present: ddd! Factory Floor! HTRK!

Stern Tuesday imminent

The Quietus is pleased to be teaming up with the White Heat club, a place where we have often felt drunk, and lately felt old, to present our second live concert event.

We've got three of the best groups from a stern collective of musicians who've been making some of the most interesting music around in the past couple of years.

First up will be ddd, who's expanded his brutal sonic tesselation from extra precise drum machine abuse to create a three-piece band including Sonic Youth-esque guitar and bass noise.

Then there's Factory Floor, who we believe are one of the most bracing live acts you'll see at the moment. Their tour with The Horrors earlier this year saw them easily matching the neu-gothgaze heroes, and they made a hipster sick with arpeggiator rage and strobes at this year's Offset Festival. Their forthcoming debut single on Blast First Petite is perhaps our most anticipated small release of the year.

Finally, there's the rather splendid HTRK, who are about to start touring Europe with Fuck Buttons. Like most people from Melbourne who move to Berlin to make music, their sound is bleak and mechanised, guitar and electronic noise underneath Jonnine Standish's languid incantations.

A night of revelry, then, that should not be missed, especially as Quietus DJs will be keeping everyone entertained into the small hours.
