Group will perform singer's solo material

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has enlisted a band of musicians including Red Hot Chilli Peppers bassist Flea to help perform his solo material.

Earlier today, Pitchfork reported that Yorke would be performing two live shows on October 4 and 5 at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, and would be joined by Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, Beck and R.E.M. drummer Joey Waronker and multi-instrumentalist Mauro Refosco as well as Flea.

Yorke wrote on Radiohead's Dear Air Space blog: "In the past couple of weeks I’ve been getting a band together for fun to play The Eraser stuff live and the new songs etc, to see if it could work!

"We don’t really have a name and the set will not be very long cuz... well… we haven’t got that much material yet! But come and check it out if you are in the area."
