Billy Bragg's scheme hits festival

Former prison inmates turned singer-songwriters thanks to Billy Bragg's Jail Guitar Doors scheme will play at this year's Glastonbury festival.

Jonny Neesom and Leon Walker both learnt the guitar as part of the project fronted by Bragg which tries to get musical instruments and instruction into prisons.

Their performances will take place at the Joe Strummer Memorial Stone on Saturday night, and will be captured on film as part of a forthcoming documentary Breaking Rocks.

Bragg said: "Being an old Clash fan, I'm proud that Strummerville have funded the production of the Jail Guitar Doors documentary "Breaking Rocks', and I hope that the film will be an inspiring and thought provoking journey which challenges our perception of rehabilitation as well as being a bloody good music documentary."
