But Bon Iver tops Coalition Chart at No. 1

The Quietus is pleased to be able to bring you a new weekly albums chart compiled by the good members of The Coalition group of 26 independent record shops across Britain.

The Top 20 this week is, as you'd expect in this quiet time of year before the release schedules start humming into life, dominated by those who did well in the End of Year polling, with Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes in the two top slots.

Most interesting is the position of Animal Collective's new record Merriweather Post Pavilion, already at No. 3 despite the fact that it was released on vinyl only last Monday, a week before today's CD street date.

Late Of The Pier are doing well at No. 15, just one spot behind TV On The Radio, while MGMT are nudging up behind Animal Collective to make a boho-rave twosome at four. Without further ado, though, here's the full Top 20 rundown:
