Ulterior Kicked Off Faint Tour

Band "puzzled" as to reason why

Fast-rising overlords of stern Ulterior have been booted off the current tour by US electro-fops The Faint after just one gig, in Manchester last night. The band had been due to play the Scala tonight, but apparently were just told that the show would not be going ahead with Ulterior on the bill.

"We're really puzzled as to why this happened. It's been blown out of all proportion," Ulterior machines wizard Benn McGregor told The Quietus. "We're really upset. We played one of the best gigs we've ever played, and we've been kicked off the tour because of that. It's really fucking boring, because we played amazingly and three hours later we got a call saying we weren't supporting them any more. We're just not a support band."

"The first we heard was being told that we played for 60 minutes, which must account for eight minutes of applause between every song," added guitarist Paul Simmonds. "We're not allowed to comment any more, but it's a real shame for everyone who was going to come and see us".
