The Quietus To Partner End Of The Road Fest
Festival nearly sold out. Hurry! The Quietus , August 14th, 2008 19:01

Dirty Three are playing this year's End of the Road festival

You can't walk a flock of sheep down a drovers way to market these days without running into a load of people camped out listening to amplified rock music. The Quietus, though, is very pleased to be able to say that we're huddling up in our sleeping bag with one of the very best, and will be online media partnering the End Of The Road Festival.

The bash takes place at the Larmer Tree Gardens in Dorset between September 12th and 14th this year, and features an utterly stunning line-up of some of our very favourite artistes, past and present.

So that would include: Dirty Three, Mercury Rev, British Sea Power, Tindersticks, Richard Hawley, The Chap, Modern Ovens, Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band, Sun Kil Moon, Dead Meadow and more and more and many more that you can read all about on the End Of The Road festival. As well as all the bands, there's a great programme of stand-up comedy and storytelling, a cinema tent, proper scram, real ales, cider and, we hope, an Indian Summer to cheer us all up as the leaves begin to turn.

We're told that tickets are on the verge of selling out, so head over to the End Of The Road ticket shop to nab some before it's too late.

The Quietus will be hosting an End Of The Road online community, as well as running interviews with some of the artists on the bill (we had that Warren Ellis on the blower last week enthusing about how much he was looking forward to playing), and bringing you photos and reviews from the site... so we'll see you all under the fragrant Dorset skies in but a matter of weeks.
