Our pals at the End of the Road Festival have announced details of a comedy programme to keep revellers a-chortling throughout the bash, which takes place at Larmer Tree Gardens between 12th and 14th September this autumn. Or, as the Rain Gods tell us with a stroke of their sumptuous beards, what will be a glorious Indian Summer.

Not only will the likes of Robin Ince, Josie Long, and Terry Saunders (whose routine includes a boy who can only speak in Pulp lyrics) be rending sides asunder in The Pavillion, but there'll also be a full day devoted to the art of storytelling - and, on the Saturday night, the spinning of yarns will become the unravelling of spines as ghost stories fill the air. This will be hosted by the Storytellers' Club.

Full details: The Saturday programme features Robin Ince, Tommy & The Weeks, Adrian Poynton, Stephen Carlin, Maeve Higgins, and Dan Antopolski, with the Storytellers' Club becoming Scarytellers for the eve. The Sunday run goes Rufus Hound, James Dowdeswell, Josie Long, Terry Saunders and Darren Hanlon.

Musical acts at End of the Road include Mercury Rev, Dirty Three, Tindersticks, British Sea Power, Low, Billy Childish, Bon Iver, Conor Oberst, Calexico, Dead Meadow and many, many more. For the full line-up and tickets, visit the End of the Road website.
