Jenny Hval will release her first English novel this October and to celebrate the occasion she will be hosting a special evening in partnership with us here at tQ at London's Somerset House Studios.

Her book, titled Paradise Rot, is billed as a queer, coming-of-age story. It follows the story of a character called Jo, an overseas student studying in a foreign country, as she discovers her sexuality with a new roommate.

The evening at Somerset House's Portico Rooms will take place on October 22. It will see Hval in conversation with our Reviews Editor Anna Wood. The pair will explore Hval's handling of the themes covered in the book, touching on sexuality, politics and gender.
