George Clinton's last scheduled London show alongside Parliament Funkadelic will take place this month

Innervisions, a new festival focused on jazz, soul, blues and hip hop, will host the final scheduled London show from George Clinton with Parliament Funkadelic this month.

Clinton announced his retirement from touring earlier this year, with plans to continue playing with Parliament Funkadelic until May of next year. "This has been coming a long time," he said in May when announcing his plans to retire from live touring. "Anyone who has been to the shows over the past couple of years have noticed that I've been out front less and less. The shows have been great!"

Clinton also previously revealed that Parliament Funkadelic would continue touring without him following his retirement. "It's always been about the music and the band," he said. "That's the real P-Funk legacy. They'll still be funkin' long after I stop."

His show for Innervisions festival will take place at London's Roundhouse on July 8, with appearances at Nottingham's Rock City (July 6) and Manchester Academy (July 7) also planned on the same UK run of dates.

Innervisions, which will take place across a number of London venues, will also host appearances from Jimmy Cliff, Angie Stone, Mavis Staples and many more. It kicks off tonight (July 3) with Lalah Hathaway playing at Camden's KOKO and will finish up on July 14. For more information on the festival, and to get tickets, head here.
