The Metropolitan Police serve notice banning UK drill crew 1011 from making and sharing music without police permission

West London drill crew 1011 have been served with a notice by the Metropolitian Police banning them from making, recording or sharing music without police permission.

The ruling was handed down to the group's five members late last week at Kingston Crown Court, and means they must now receive authorisation from the Met's Scotland Yard headquarters before recording music, a ban that will remain in place for the next three years.

The move also means that the group must notify police within 24 hours of releasing new videos, and allow police to attend any performances. The group's members are also banned from meeting each other unless to record or perform their music.

The group were issued with the Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) after recently admitting to conspiracy to commit violent disorder. They were sentenced after they were arrested in November 2017 with machetes and other weapons while allegedly planning an attack on a rival group. If they breach the Met's order, they face imprisonment.
