Japanese krautrockers Minami Deutsch are captured performing live in Manchester earlier this year in an exclusive live video

Following on from our recent series of live videos captured by IMPATV at Rocket Recordings' 20th anniversary celebratons in March, we have more live video action from the Islington Mill Public Access Television collective, this time in the form of an hour-long video of Japanese group Minami Deutsch.

The video above, captures them playing their krautrock-influenced brand of psychedelia at Manchester's Soup Kitchen back in February of this year.

As the band's name suggests, Minami Deutsch are infatuated with the motorik rhythms of '60s and '70s krautrock, but they fuse these foundations with their own kind of heady stoner rock, also taking influence from the effects - if not the sound - of techno. The heavily manipulated visuals of IMPATV's video further enhances the lysergic impact of the music, with its aged filters and retro psychedelic effects.

Last month, the group also released their latest album With Dim Light, which you can stream or purchase via Bandcamp here.
