Brian Eno will release a collection of new, rare and previously unreleased tracks as part of an upcoming box set

Brian Eno has announced details of a new box set called Music For Installations.

The box set will be comprised of new, rare and previously unreleased tracks, all of which will be made available on vinyl for the first time. The release shifts the focus to Eno's visual experiments with light and video via works which have been exhibited around the world at locations such as the Venice Biennale, the Marble Palace in St. Petersburg and the Sydney Opera House.

All of the material featured within the box set was recorded by Eno for use in his various installations between 1986 and the present. The box set has been designed by Eno and long-time collaborator Nick Robertson, and comes with a 64-page booklet featuring rare and unseen exhibition photographs and a new essay written by Eno.

Music For Installations will be released on May 4 via UMC. It will be available in a 9xLP deluxe edition vinyl set, 6xCD standard edition set and 6xCD deluxe limited edition numbered set featuring 64-page Plexiglass cover book. For more information and to pre-order the box set, head here.
