Solange will share a digital interactive dossier called 'Seventy States' as part of Tate Modern's 'Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power' exhibition tonight (August 25).

'Seventy States' is a one-off display on the exploration of visual language showcasing exclusive unreleased performance pieces from Solange as well as concepts from music videos such as 'Cranes in the Sky' and 'Don't Touch my Hair'. There will also be an original performance and score created by Solange featuring in the display.

The piece was put together in collaboration with Carlota Guerra and features an installation by Ricardo Basbaum. It was directed by Alan Del Rio Ortiz, and there will also be two untitled poems presented as part of the piece.

"I wanted to create a specific scenography through movement and landscape to communicate my states of process through this record," Solange says, adding: "I decided to do this through a visual language."

The display will be projected onto the walls of the Tank Foyer at the gallery tonight as part of Uniqlo's Tate Late programme. You can find out more information here.
