Angus Andrew, now the sole remaining member of Liars following an amicable split with Aaron Hemphill, has revealed two cuts of his new album TFCF, 'Coins In My Caged Fists' and 'The Grand Delusional, both of which are streaming below.

Known for radical shifts in tone from album to album, the two tracks show two different sides to Liars' current sound.

'Coins In My Caged Fists' is a frenetic effort, driven by eccentric drum machines and laced with esoteric sampling. "I wanted to do lots of sampling," Andrew says. "I'd done a little in the past, but I'd started to realise the possibilities of the process, of sampling myself playing 'proper' instruments, and then using the sampler to put it all together in an 'artificial' way."

'The Grand Delusional', meanwhile, is a more spaced-out, sombre track, laced with acoustic guitar. "There's acoustic guitar all over this record! How ridiculous is that?"

TFCF was recorded by Andrew in a remote part of the outback in his native Australia. The initials stand for 'Theme From Crying Fountain'.

Liars have also announced a number of live dates across the US and Europe. They play Manchester's Victoria Warehouse on October 28, and Bristol's Colston Hall on October 30.

The band are also a part of this year's stellar Green Man Festival lineup, which takes place August 18-20. For full dates, and to pre-order Liars' new album, click here.
