Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti are having a big studio clear-out and that means they are selling some of their equipment.

Batch one of that equipment is now online, while a second batch will follow later in the year, consisting mostly of guitar pedals, and "lots of them" apparently. The move comes as the pair cut back heavily on their joint and solo live performances, with the pair having rummaged through various parts of their set-ups to clear out what they hope they won't need in the future.

"We are not retiring (do musicians ever really retire?)," Carter says, adding: "We’re just spending a lot less time performing and a lot more (most) of our time on studio based projects - and trying to get some long delayed albums and releases out to you all."

All of the items in the sale have either been used on material by Throbbing Gristle, Chris & Cosey or Carter Tutti Void, as well as by the pair individually. Some have been used in live Throbbing Gristle and Chris & Cosey performances, and therefore won't be in completely pristine condition. Others will have fared better from simple studio use.

"All the items are in working order and generally good condition and any ‘issues’ are noted in the descriptions," Carter says. You can check the full list and details on each piece of equipment, which includes various synths and sequencers, here.
