Raster-Noton Celebrate 20 Years With Book

The label celebrates two decades with hardback book and compilation

German techno and experimental music label Raster-Noton is to release a hardback book and compilation marking the label's 20th year of existence.

source book 1 is a 400-page hardback book which extensively details each release in the label's history, from 1996-2016, as well as a number of other milestones. There is an introduction by label head Byetone, as well as an interview with the three label heads carried out by Berlin publicist Max Dax which gives readers an insight into the label's philosophy.

The book will be produced in a limited run of 1000 copies and has a modular design which allows owners to exchange or add pages allowing them to continue to update the label's history themselves. Included alongside the book is the archiv 4 compilation, which features tracks from Alva Noto, Byetone, Kangding Ray, Emptyset, Senking, Grischa Lichtenberger and more.
