The record by the Japanese musician has become highly valuable on the resale market

Through The Looking Glass, the ambient album from Japanese artist Midori Takada which had been fetching hundreds of pounds on the resale market, is set to be reissued in March.

A collaboration between the unwieldily named We Release Whatever The Fuck We Want and Palto Flats labels, the reissue has been sourced from the original master tapes and will be available in two editions, one as a single LP cut at 33RPM, and the other as a limited double-LP cut at 45RPM. There will also be a first-time CD edition of the album. The record has long been seen as one of the all-time finest ambient works with Takada combining subtle percussion, samples of wildlife and glowing melodies across its four pieces. Following the reissue, Takada will play live at Glasgow's Counterflows on April 6 and London's Cafe Oto on April 11.
