New virtual reality thing from former members of Swedish group

ABBA are reuniting with plans to create a 'new entertainment experience' for fans, with the latest technology in virtual reality and artificial intelligence.

In collaboration with their music manager, Simon Fuller and Universal Music, their aim is to bring a new experience of their music to the next generation of ABBA fans, giving them the chance to experience the band in "a way previously unimagined", according to the press release.

This is the first time that the band have done anything together in 30 years and will mark the 50 year songwriting partnership between Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson. Andersson states that the experience will be "a time machine that captures the essence of who [ABBA] were. And are." So now you'll now have the opportunity to hear the band's original hits like 'Dancing Queen' and 'Mammia Mia' via the very modern medium of VR. Further details on the project are as of yet unavailable, but the event's launch is currently set for 2018.
