The Quietus , September 7th, 2016 09:21

I wanted to accept the challenge of picking my 13 favourite albums but it was far too difficult. Albums that changed my life was somewhat easier. It was a treat to listen some albums that I hadn't listened to for years, but somehow knew subconsciously how much they had altered the course of my life. When's the last time you sat down for a day or two to listen to records, undisturbed, without distraction or the guilt of time passing? It's been a dog's age for me. There's a reflection of everything I believe in here, some are questionable in taste but no less essential to my musical upbringing.

Thanks for provoking a beautiful trip down memory lane. Thanks for making me reflect on the autobiographical, romantic side of music. Now I have the lovely task of collecting all of these on vinyl, namely Pork Soda.

Heads Up is out on September 23 via Rough Trade Records. Warpaint begin a European and US tour at Pearl Palooza in Albany, NY on September 17, and play Simple Things festival in Bristol on October 22; for full details and tickets, head here.
