Wild Beasts have announced their new album, Boy King and you can check out lead single ‘Get My Bang’ above right now.

Described as their most “direct” record to date, the album follows on from 2014’s Present Tense with the band’s Tom Fleming describing this new effort as the sound of them “back to being pissed off.” The band worked on the album in Dallas with producer John Congleton after spending a year working on material in East London.

“I’m letting my inner Byron fully out, I thought I’d tucked him away, but he came screaming back like the Incredible Hulk,” says Hayden Thorpe of his presence on the album, further describing it as “an apocalyptic record”. The album is out on August 5 with UK tour dates lined up ahead of and following the album’s release, including a headline set at this year’s Green Man Festival. For the full list of dates, click here.
