This Friday sees the release of a new album from sometime 6 Music presenter Tom Robinson, featuring an all-star cast including contributions from John Grant, Nadine Shah, Billy Bragg and many more. Ahead of the album’s release, above we have the video for album track ‘The Mighty Sword Of Justice’.

Opening with a radio announcement containing the voice of Colin Firth, the video and track sees Robinson unequivocally putting forward a number of leftist political statements with the help of guest Billy Bragg. The album itself was made alongside producer and multi-instrumentalist Gerry Diver and is set to be released on his own Castaway Northwest Recordings.

“After my second child was born in 1997 I took a break from recording and did more radio work,” says Robinson. “Both my kids are now grown up now, I've turned 65, the decks are clear, and my musical tastes have changed enormously since working at 6 Music.
