Later this week Thrill Jockey will release a new solo album from Arbouretum frontman Dave Heumann, but ahead of that we are giving you a chance to check out the video for the album’s reflective title track, ‘Here In The Deep’.

The video offsets Heumann’s mounrful vocals with images of various people frolicking in swimming pools and taking in the sun that seems a world away from UK-based viewers now. The track and video are described as a “celebration of the joys of Summer” and was filmed at Druid Hill Park in Heumann’s native Baltimore, Maryland, featuring local residents. It was directed by Jay Buim whose part work includes videos for Future Islands and documentary work on Jeff Koons and Nick Cave among others. The album, Here In The Deep, is out this Friday (October 16). Heumann plays Audioscope Festival and Moth Club in London next month.
