Music, art and technology festival returns to a number of East London venues in March for its second year, presenting a line-up that includes Clark, Gary Numan and Kiasmos

Following a triumphant first year in 2014, Convergence returns to a number of venues across East London this March with a line-up headed up by Clark and Gary Numan. A recent second wave of announcements saw Andy Stott, Untold, Shackleton, Paula Temple and more join the bill for this year's series of events which will take place from March 12-21.

Convergence 2015, which will also take in sets from Kiasmos, Pantha Du Prince, Matthew Herbert, Inga Copeland and more, will bring together a number of musicians and industry heads, including NTS, Noise of Art and Last.fm, for a series of talks and workshops during its run. Matthew Herbert and George Clinton will discuss their work and their use of technology among other subjects at artist talks on March 14 and March 15, respectively.

Curator Glenn Max, who previously had a hand in Meltdown Festival, says: "This year Convergence expands into new venues including Royal Festival Hall and Kachette on Old Street. And for the first time presenting pioneers like George Clinton and Gary Numan. With its emphasis on live performance, new music, spontaneity, collaboration and one-off experimentation, Convergence seeks to promote intuition from its artists and inspire wonder in its audiences. I'm thrilled to present such a rich array of era-defining artists and honoured to offer this event to London as an inclusive, dynamic dialogue about our shape-shifting cultural epoch."

This year's edition of Convergence kicks off on March 12 at Village Underground with sets from Clark, Vessels, Rival Consoles and Luke Abbott. The closing event on March 21 takes place at St John-at-Hackney Church and features Pantha Du Prince, Darkstar, Zomby and Paula Temple.
