Next Wednesday, September 3, Hyperdub are continuing their tenth anniversary celebrations with a night at Corsica Studios. It looks set to be a banger, with a line-up that takes in a nicely varied array of the label's roster - Dean Blunt, Jessy Lanza and Cooly G are live, while Kode 9, Scratcha DVA, Ikonika, Nitetrax and Videeo are DJing, as is Okzharp, the solo project of LV's Gerv Gordon. Ahead of that, he's given us an appetite-whetting mix, which follows in the footsteps of his original Okzharp mix for the Blackdown blog and draws on a well-traveled knowledge of the electronics scene of his native South Africa. Okzharp: "I made this on a rainy night a few weeks ago, it started out as a quick 15-minute thing but then I got a bit carried away and it's just under an hour, quite a few edits/blends. There's a track in there from Okmalumkoolkat's new Holy Oxygen EP that he did with Cid Rim and The Clonius, it's brilliant. Also favourites Rudeboyz, DJ Lag, Big Space, Deamonds Dean Lyon and Neana, Snaxxzo, JBS, Maramza, Shy One, T-vo, Mike Q, Spoko. I'm excited to bheng the mega room two sound system at Corsica Studios for the Hyperdub party, the only time I get to hear most of this kind of stuff on a proper system is when I play it. I'm scheming on a deadly gqom apocalypse for the last 30 minutes of my set. And I'm looking forward to Cooly G's new live set and checking out the special live guest too."
